Commercial Transmitters

H6 Systems provides pulsed, tube-based transmitters with output powers that run from hundreds of kilowatts to well into the megawatt range.

A few of our transmitters are shown at the bottom of the page. For broader information on frequency and power ranges, take a look at our tube finder. We build around these tubes available from third party manufacturers. If you don't see what you need, give us a call. Not all tubes are listed.

If you are need to achieve a specific field strength, take a look at our field strength calculator. It will help you estimate the tube power required to generate your field.

Magnetrons (pulsed) – these vacuum tubes are oscillators (not amplifiers). They output high power RF pulses when pulsed with high voltage. They also require a specific filament voltage and air or liquid cooling. Pulse widths are in the 1 – 2 uS range, duties in the .001 range.

Klystrons (pulsed) – these vacuum tubes are amplifiers. They amplify RF pulses that occur within the timing of a high voltage pulse. They require a specific filament voltage as well as a solenoid voltage to focus the electron beam. They are usually liquid cooled. Pulse widths range from 4uS to 1mS and duties from .001 to .03.

CC TWT (pulsed) – these tubes are amplifiers. They amplify RF pulses that occur within the timing of a high voltage pulse. They require numerous floating power supplies as well as air and liquid cooling.

Your transmitter can be controlled from a laptop running our GUI, a PLC, a mechanical switch panel or from your own computer programmed to communicate through ModBus.

All of our transmitters include fault monitoring to protect the system against internal failures or harmful operator input.

Transmitters can be supplied as stand-alone systems or they can be integrated into your own equipment. Lower power units are air cooled. Higher power units (above 1.5MW) are liquid cooled.
